Actor Irrfan Khan is gearing up for the release of Madaari, a socio-political drama directed by Nishikant Kamat. The actor, who essays the character of a common man in the film, has decided to host a special screening of the movie for children between ages 12-15.

The screening will take place today, 17 July, at the Zee Premier Theatre in Mumbai.

A big white board will be put up for children to write their reactions once they watch the film.

Talking about his excitement over the event, Irrfan said that he is looking forward to the special screening.

"I am looking forward to this screening to be viewed and reviewed by my young audience. Waiting to get a fresh perspective, fingers crossed," he said.

Madaari, which explores a father-son relationship, also features Jimmy Shergill in a pivotal role.

The film is slated to release on 22 July.
