Bollywood is where every person strives to get love from the audiences and make their work become immortal. While thousands of people try their luck here, very few manage to win over the audiences.

Many a star kid has attempted to act in films, but most failed to leave their mark. One industry kid who proved his worth is none other than Hrithik Roshan. The year 2000 was significant for the industry as it marked the debut of Hrithik Roshan: The only actor who challenged the Khans at some stage of his career.

Hrithik Roshan probably had the best debut for any actor in Hindi film industry. His first film, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was not just a blockbuster, but Roshan's mannerisms and dance became talking point of the town. Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was a film that did not just establish an actor, but gave birth to a superstar who could carry forward the legacy of The Roshans.

Apart from acceptance from audiences, Hrithik Roshan bagged several awards for his confident performance in the film. A significant point to note here is, the actor won Filmfare award for best debutant as well as best actor, a feat that happened for the first time in Bollywood history.

Post the film release, New Zealand became one of the most popular tourist destinations for Indians. The number of applications for Visa went up so much that visa office had to be enlarged to the tune of US$500000. The official back then said that the sudden rise was caused by the 'Hrithik Factor'

After Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, the craze around Hrithik Roshan was at an all-time high. His third film, Mission Kashmir clashed with Shah Rukh Khan's Mohabattein directed by Yash Chopra! And guess what? Mission Kashmir opened better than the romantic saga, which is an enough proof about the hype and curiosity around Mission Kashmir owing to Hrithik's presence.

Although Hrithik's choices have been disappointing off late, one is sure that it is just the matter of right script, he will bounce back.

Here's wishing Hrithik Roshan many happy returns of the day.
