After having opted out of Yash Raj Films' Thug because of remuneration issues, Hrithik Roshan may have signed up for yet another action film.

According to reports, Hrithik has signed on for Bang Bang director, Sidharth Anand's next film titled Fighter.

A leading daily reported that the film will see Hrithik essay the role of a pilot with the Indian Air Force. The daily reported that the film will include a number of awe-inspiring aerial stunts - a spectacle Bollywood is yet to explore.

Hrithik last played the role of an armed forced personnel in Lakshya, which was both critically and commercially acclaimed.

The paper quoted a source close to the development as saying:

"It was during the making of Bang Bang that Siddharth had narrated the idea to Hrithik. Once the script was completely finished, he took it to the actor again. Hrithik liked the script. After that, Siddharth stepped out of Sanjay Dutt's return vehicle Badlaa. And Hrithik got busy shooting for Sanjay Gupta's Kaabil. But after that film is completed, his dates are free as the actor has not committed to any other film. He even walked out of Thug."

Fighter is expected to go on floors in 2017. Official confirmation awaited.
