The Box Office collections of Emraan Hashmi's Azhar witnessed a jump of 20 per cent on 15 May as it raked in around Rs 8.15 crore - taking the weekend total to Rs 21.40 crore.

The opening day (13 May) collection figures of Azhar were pretty underwhelming. The collections recorded a growth of 11 per cent on 14 May.

The film has performed the best in the Gujarat Belt, in East Punjab and in Rajasthan but has failed to impress audiences at the metros.

Day-wise Box Office collections of Azhar:

  • Friday (13 May) : Rs 6.30 crore
  • Saturday (14 May) : Rs 7.00 crore
  • Sunday (15 May) : Rs 8.15 crore (Early Estimate)
  • Total opening weekend collection: Rs 21.40 crore

The all-India distribution rights of Azhar were sold for Rs 22 to Rs 23 crore. In order to break even, the film needs to rake in collections in the range of Rs 46 to Rs 48 crore.

A good hold on 16 May will help the film enjoy a three-week solo-run at the single screens. Azhar will face competition at the Box Office in the mass circuits from Housefull 3, which will hit the screens on 3 June.
