Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao’s starrer Mental Hai Kya has fallen into the clutch's of controversy due to its title. Lately, the film was faced by a legal notice by Indian Psychiatric Society as they found the title offensive, hurting the sentiments of special children and was asked to change the film's title.
Ekta Kapoor who is the producer of this film took the situation bit light and thought and after some time the controversy will die and then they will be able to release the film, but to their sad note instead of dying the controversy grew more and more which left them with no options than to change the title.
According to the source, if they didn't change the title they will have to face the consequences and this can bring to heavy losses as they have to again print the posters and will again have to do the advertisement with the new title and this will lead to add on expenditure.
Not just this, Deepika Padukone's Live Love Laugh foundation that creates awareness on issues like mental health, criticised the title. Now, this can bring the two actors at war. Whereas, Kangana and Rajkummar have yet not broken their silence on the title controversy.
