Rajkumar Hirani's Dutt Biopic went on floors today at a studio in Mumbai and the director shot for an extremely funny scene with Ranbir Kapoor.

Hirani revealed to a leading daily that the movie will not dwell much into the controversies forming part of Sanjay Dutt's life, but will rather focus on the actors' relationship with people around him.

"It's not a film about guns, drugs and the underworld. It's a feel-good film about a father-son relationship with Paresh Rawal playing Sunil Dutt and Ranbir as Sanju. A buddy film with Sanju's many friends adding up to one from the US, played by Vicky Kaushal," said Hirani.

The ace director also confirmed that the film shooting will be wrapped up by June 2017 and the makers are eyeing for the Christmas 2017 slot. He said,

"It goes on the floors today, January 14, and Sanju will give the clap. We are one big family. We hope to wrap it up by June and are targeting a Christmas 2017 release."
