Did Ranbir Kapoor turn down Shoojit Sircar's offer?

Ranbir has apparently refused to be part of Shoojit’s film on Udham Singh

 Shoojit Sircar had announced his biopic on Udham Singh several months back. There was a buzz that the director was wishing to work with Shah Rukh Khan and offered him the role. However this bit of news was not confirmed and later it was said that Shah Rukh turned down the film. Later there were reports suggesting that Shoojit is in talks with Ranbir Kapoor but the director denied it. Now once again it is being said that Shoojit did offer a film Ranbir recently. A source says, “Shoojit approached Ranbir a few days back and they spoke about this biopic. Although Ranbir liked it, he chose to opt out because of his busy schedule.  Shoojit’s search for an actor continues.”

 Freedom fighter Udham Singh had shot Michael O'Dwyer dead, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The British Government later hanged him.

 Ranbir is in New York to complete the next schedule of Sanjay Dutt biopic and he will then begin shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Dragon with Alia Bhatt around October this year.
