Devi is copied claim AAFT student

Kajol, Shruti Haasan, Neha Dhupia, Neena Kulkarni’s short film Devi helmed by Priyanka Banerjee narrates the story of rape victims. Since the film release on OTT platform, its grabbing eyeballs and is receiving immense applaud from the audience and celebs. However, now the short film is making headlines for all wrong reasons.

Yes! As per Spotboye report a student of Asian Academy of Film and Television, Noida has raised the voice on plagiarism on Devi. A student named Abhishek Rai has claimed that Devi has been plagiarized from a student film Four. Those who don't know then let us tell you that Four is also a short film based on the same storyline as Devi. It showcases the real-life cases of rape and sexual abuse including the victims of 2012 gang rape case and that Kathua rape-murder case.

Taking to his Facebook Abhishek accused the makers and wrote, “Our film was a student film, with very little production design, bad audio and stuff, but still it's a child of our own imagination and it's ruthless how anyone can just pick up a piece of thought and claim it to be theirs. The film is an intellectual property of Asian Academy of Film & Television.”
