Confident that Rustom will do Rs 100 crore at the Box-Office, says Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan addressed the media after the good response to their recent film, Housefull 3, at the ticket window. The film, which has raked in nearly Rs 80 crore in its opening week, is on the verge of making an entry into the coveted Rs 100 crore club.

Akshay will next be seen in Rustom, which is slated to release on 12 August, 2016. With both Airlift and Housefull 3 raking in over Rs 100 crore at the ticket window, on being asked whether it would be a hat-trick of Rs 100 crore films for him with Rustom, the actor said,

"I hope even Rustom does Rs 100 crore at the Box-Office. We have made a good film and I hope people like it. With the kind of product that we have made, I think it will be a hat-trick of Rs 100 crore films for me this year."

Rustom is said to be based on the infamous Nanavati murder case. Akshay Kumar will essay the character of a Navy Officer in this romantic thriller.
