Catch Exclusive: Akshay Kumar will start shooting for Ikka after Crack

Akshay Kumar's Ikka has been in the news for a while now. While reports suggested that the film had been shelved, director AR Murugadoss has confirmed that the film will go on floors next year.

In an exclusive interview with Catch, the Akira director revealed that the script of the film will be tweaked to appeal to the Bollywood audience. He said:

"After Akira releases, our complete focus will be on Ikka. We will have to tweak the script as per the Bollywood sensibilities. There is a little bit of date issues with Akshay Kumar, once everything is sorted out, we will go on floors."

The director-turned-producer also confirmed that his associate director, Jagan, will direct Khiladi Kumar in the much-awaited social drama.

"Yes, we are definitely going on floors next year. I will be producing the film and my associate, Jagan will direct it."

Ikka is the official remake of the Tamil blockbuster, Kaththi, starring Vijay. The film is expected to go on floors by April next year.

With Ikka, Akshay Kumar now has his kitty full of projects. Here's a quick look at his work schedule:

  • Jolly LLB 2 (August to October 2016)
  • Toilet Ek Prem Katha (November to December 2016)
  • Crack (January - March 2017)
  • Ikka (April 2017 onwards)
