Akshay Kumar to collaborate with Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti for Kaththi remake 'Ikka'

Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar is currently busy in the promotions of his next film Mission Mangal, directed by Jagan Shakti. Mission Mangal also starring Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha, is based on the story of Indian Space Research Organisation's successful attempt at launching a ship to Mars.

The movie has already created a buzz since its trailer came out and the audience is proud to see a film based on the proudest moments in the history of India. While the team of Mission Mangal is still waiting for the film to release but the director Jagan Shakti has moved forward for work with Akshay Kumar.

 

Recently, Jagan Shakti announced that he will be working with Akshay Kumar once again for the remake of AR Murugadoss directorial 2014 released film Kaththi. The movie has titled as Ikka and it is expected to go on floors soon, however, the script is still under the process. According to Jagan, Ikka will echo the underprivileged section of the society and he wishes to explore action in a smooth and underrated way.

 

However, Akshay Kumar lately announced his next action drama film Bachchan Pandey with producer Sajid Nadiadwala and it will be directed by Farhad Samji. The movie is slated to release on Christmas 2020.
