Top 10 opening day collections for Akshay Kumar; Singh Is Bliing at the top

Akshay Kumar's family entertainer Singh Is Bliing has raked in Rs 20.67 crore on its opening day at the Box-Office. The movie is Akshay Kumar's biggest opener till date, going past his last release Brothers will collected Rs 15.25 crore on the opening day.

The film was benefited by the Gandhi Jayanti holiday across the country, which helped it put up a great total on its opening day. Singh Is Bliing faces stiff competition from Puli in the southern market where the film also lost many shows to Talvar and The Martian at major multiplexes across the country.

The film has performed the best in East Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Central India (C.I) , Central Provinces (C.P Bearer) and Gujarat, while the collections are below expectations in Mumbai.

Considering all the factors, the film has received a good opening and it would be interesting see the kind of hold the film will manage today at the ticket window. The opening day collections of the film is the second best of the year after Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Rs 27.25 crore).

The real word of mouth generated about the film will be gauged by the film's hold at the Box-Office today and the jump in collections tomorrow.
