A couple of days ago it was reported that Ajay Devgn's Golmaal Again - directed by Rohit Shetty - has been pushed from the Diwali 2017 slot to make way for Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar's Robot 2.0 directed by Shankar.
However, the official spokesperson of the film has denied all the speculations and confirmed that the film releases on Diwali 2017, as scheduled. The official statement let out by the makers reads that the shooting of the film will start in early 2017.
The statement read:
"The recent media rumors doing the rounds about 'Golmaal Again' not releasing next Diwali to avoid the clash with another superstar's movie, is completely untrue.
The makers will be releasing the film next year on Diwali. As of now, they don't possess information about any other big release next year, which hereby squashes the news of any such clash. Gomaal Again is all set to go on floors early next year. If any further developments on the same take place, as official publicists of Golmaal Again, we will send you an update."
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal Again stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Tushar Kapoor in lead. The makers are yet to finalise the female lead.
