Ajay Devgn on Shivaay vs Ae Dil Ha Mushkil at Box Office: Fox Star didn't want to listen

Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the release of his big Diwali offering, Shivaay. And the actor says that he is not working on any other project till the film releases on 28 October.

The trailer of the film which released recently has been well-received.In fact, despite being the longest Hindi film trailer, it has struck a chord with its never-seen-before action and stunning Bulgarian background.

Reportedly, the makers are planning to release yet another trailer of the film since the first trailer doesn't give away anything about the film's storyline. This could be a well-thought out marketing strategy, considering Shivaay is clashing with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the Box Office and no promos of the latter are out yet.

However, Ajay says he is unfazed with this clash. When a leading daily asked him what he thinks about this big Diwali clash, he said:

"I'm looking forward to it, but I don't have to prepare for anything. I don't waste my time thinking about anybody else's film. I want to concentrate on my film because, eventually, it's the product that speaks. Why break my concentration? I'm only concerned about what I'm making."

But, did he ever initiate a discussion to stop this clash? Ajay says yes. He explained:

"There are only a few festivals and so many films. People are not getting dates to release their films, so you need some more holidays. Of course, it's better that films don't clash, but there is no choice. When I announced Shivaay, nobody had announced their film. The ADHMannouncement came after us. But I guess, it's fair enough if they want to cash in on a good day. In fact, I spoke to the people at Fox Star and showed concern over why two films have to clash the same day and if we could sort it out. But they didn't want to listen, so that's their choice."

The other big Bollywood clashes set to happen after Mohenjo Daro vs Rustom at the Box Office in the near future are Freaky Ali vs Baar Baar Dekho on 9 September and Raees vs Kaabil on 12 August, among others.
