Aishwarya Rai's Jazbaa makes average start at the Box-Office, biz expected to grow

Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan starrer Jazbaa released with a lot of fanfare across 2,000 screens in the country. The film managed to get an average start at the box office on its opening day, with collections of Rs 4.23 crore.

However, ticket sales are expected to soar over the weekend. The film has performed well in Mumbai and the Delhi/UP belt. Collections from mass dominated centres are expected to pick up well since the plot of the film is one that can be related to.

A 25-30% growth is expected on Saturday and the same will give Jazbaa a chance to breach the Rs 15 crore mark over the weekend.

While initial reviews of the film have been positive, this weekend growth will determine the film's word of mouth. The Sanjay Gupta directorial stars Irrfan Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.
