Akshay Kumar booked the Independence Day 2017 weekend for Neeraj Pandey's psychological thriller titled Crack.
The announcement came as a surprise since everyone expected the duo to join hands for a satire on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan titled Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. However, as per media reports, Kumar will finish shooting for Toilet before moving on to Crack.
Khiladi is expected to wrap up shooting for Jolly LLB 2 by September end following which he will start shooting for Neeraj Pandey's comedy in November. After wrapping up the shooting for Toilet by early next year, Kumar will move on to Crack.
In 2017, Akshay Kumar will have four films releasing that include Jolly LLB 2, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Crack, and Robot 2.0.The script of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha which will be produced by Neeraj Pandey has already been finalised; however, the director is yet to be locked.
