After Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Heyy Babyy; Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan to star together in R Balki's first Indian space film
After a long gap of 10 years, once again Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are going to collaborate once again and this is really exciting. Padman filmmaker R Balki is planning a film on space and it will be India's first ever astronaut film that will be produced by R. Balki, Viacom and Akshay Kumar.
For that film, R Balki has approached Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in the leading roles. While he is also planning to cast two other leading ladies for the project.
Bollywood Hungama quoted R Balki, “Yes Viacom and Balki have come together for a film which will be the first ever Indian movie on astronauts. In fact, the film will be about sending a crew of chosen people to Mars.”

The source further added, “The said project is yet to be titled, but it will be directed by Jagan Shakti who has earlier been an associate director on films like Pad Man, Holiday, and Akira to name a few.”
The interesting thing is that earlier a film Chanda Mama Door Ke was announced starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Nawazuddin Siddiqui but the film got shelved as due to over budget. While on the other hand, Akshay is soon going to be seen in SCI-Fi film 2 Point 0 starring alongside Rajinikanth.
