Aamir Khan's Dangal is on a record breaking spree at the Box-Office ever since its release on 21 December 2016. After recording the second biggest opening week of all time, Dangal has created new records in its second weekend.

The Mahavir Phogat biopic raked in 73.70 crore in its second weekend taking the 10 day total to 270.47 crore. The second weekend collections of Dangal are around 30% higher than the previous record holder, Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) which raked in 56 crore.

The movie has fared well across the country with Delhi and Punjab being the best performing territories.

Collection Break-Up:

  • Opening Week: 197.53 crore
  • Second Friday: 18.59 crore
  • Second Saturday: 23.07 crore
  • Second Sunday: 32.04 crore
  • Total: 271.24 crore

The second weekend collections of Dangal are higher than the first weekend collections of all the Bollywood films that released in 2016 apart from Sultan and Dangal. The movie should comfortably go past the lifetime collections of Sultan (301 crore) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (316 crore). Dangal would challenge PK (340 crore) in long run to emerge the biggest blockbuster of all time.
