1. Deewar (1975) - Thee (1981)

Yash Chopra directed this film which was a story of two brothers who had a conflict of ideologies. Besides, Amitabh, Shashi Kapoor, and Nirupama Roy played leading roles in the film.

2. Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) - Ram Robert Rahim (1980)

Manmohan Desai's film was a story of three brothers Amar, Akbar and Anthony. Amitabh played the role of Anthony in the film. But Rajini played the role of Ram in the remake version.

3. Don (1978) - Billa (1980)

Amitabh Bachchan's hit film Don was remade in Tamil as Billa and Rajinikanth portrayed the role of a gangster in the film.

4. Kasme Vaade (1978) - Dharmathin Thalaivan (1988)

Superstar Rajinikanth's film Dharmathin Thalaivan was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's film Kasme Vaade and in this film also Rajini played the role of Big B.

5. Lawaaris (1981) - Panakkaran (1990)

Rajinikanth's Panakkaran was a superhit remake of Big B's superhit film Lawaaris.

6. Namak Halaal (1982) - Velaikkaran (1987)

One of the best comedy films of Amitabh Bachchan turned a hit remake for Rajinikanth as Velaikkaran.

7. Mard (1985) - Maaveeran (1986)

Amitabh Bachchan's hit film Mard which released in 1985 was a box office hit and when Rajinikanth made the same film in Tamil as Maaveeran, that time also it was a great hit in Tamil.
