Husband falls into muddy water; here’s how his wife reacts

Husband and wife don’t leave a chance to pull each other’s legs or sometimes make fun of each other. One such hilarious video of a British couple has surfaced on the Internet who met a funny incident during their trip to the Maldives.

The video shows a man trying to cross a swamp to save his shoes and trousers from dirty water. However, all his attempts went unsuccessful as he fell into the muddy water.

However, his embarrassing moment was recorded by his wife, who started laughing at her husband's situtation.

The man in the video is identified as Martin Lewis while his wife’s name is Rachael Lewis. The couple was holidaying on the island of Fuvahmulah. On the island, the couple decided to take a shortcut across a swamp, Daily Mail reported.

However, Mr. Lewis couldn’t succeed in crossing the swamp.

The funny video has gone viral after Mr Lewis shared the video on TikTok last week. It has garnered over 28 million views. Netizens are bursting into laughter after watching the hilarious video.

The footage shows Mr Lewis carefully taking his shoes off before crossing the muddy water.

He was also heard saying, “I don't know how I'm going to get across, see my trousers are getting dirty.” Finally, he took a step forward into the water and promptly plunged straight into the water. After seeing him inside the murky brown water, Mrs Lewis started laughing hysterically.

Mr Lewis himself shared his embarrassing moment on Instagram. He told Daily Mail, “We are currently in the Maldives and my wife suggested taking a shortcut across the island to get to the other side.”

"I'll be honest, I knew that my feet were going to get wet, I even considered that perhaps the bottom of my trousers may also get wet and I thought it could make an amusing video, so my wife proceeded to film.

"It was a total shock when I disappeared into the hole, and I kept going down, I think the hole may have been nine to 10 foot deep."

However, Lewis wasn’t scared when he was stuck inside the muddy water and quickly scrambled out of it. “I sat there composing myself whilst the wife laughed for a good 10 minutes," Lewis said.
