Alleged ISIS member threatens communal violence in Khajuraho, adjoining areas

The Madhya Pradesh Police has launched a manhunt after a man has allegedly threatened to trigger communal violence in Khajuraho and nearby areas. He has reportedly claimed to be a member of the terror outfit, Islamic State (ISIS).

The matter has come to light after Gaurav Singh Baghel approached the Khajurao police with his complaint. He alleged that a man named Firoz Khan has threatened to trigger communal riots in Khajuraho, Panna, Chhatarpur and nearby areas on 30 September.

Baghel claimed that Khan issued this threat via Facebook while chatting with him on 22 September. They chatted for around five minutes in which Khan identified himself as member of ISIS.

Gaurav then approached the police, following which several men with the name of Firoz Khan were detained and interrogated .

So far, the police have not managed to draw any concrete conclusion. The person who had issued the threat is no longer using the same ID. A manhunt has been launched for nabbing the unknown FB user.
