Maharashtra, Haryana Assembly Polls Results 2019: Counting begins

Counting of votes for the 288-member Maharashtra and 90-member Haryana assemblies which went to polls on October 21, has been started at 8am.

the results will be out on 24th October.

This time around, the turnout of voters fell steeply as Maharashtra registered a provisional voter trunout of 60.05 per cent untill 6:00 pm, which was previously recorded at 63.08 in 2014, while on the other hand Haryana recorded 65 per cent, which was previously recorded at 76.54 per cent during the last election.

The exit polls indicate an easy win for the Bharatiya Janata Party. In Maharashtra, a total of numerous exit polls manifested that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance would win 211 of 288 seats in the state and the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party just 64 seats.

However, in Haryana, it forecasted that the BJP is expected to win 66 of 90 seats while the Congress claims 14.
