Cuteness overload! Service dog gives birth to 8 puppies at Florida airport
The 2-year-old yellow Lab Ellie delivered eight puppies in the middle of Tampa International Airport when the flight was ready to take off to Philadelphia. Tampa Fire Rescue officials made the new viral on Twitter.
Service department tweeted, "An air traveler’s service dog is delivering puppies now @FlyTPA We’re a full-service department!” Ellie was returning home with her owner when she delivered unexpectedly.
Both Ellie and father Nugget are US service dogs. They are trained to help people with disabilities.
Although the family missed the flight, yet the wonderful scene made the passengers cheer as each puppy arrived.
Tampa airport spokeswoman Emily Nipps said, "I’ve never seen anything like this in an airport, or otherwise. No planes were delayed during the three-hour event, and Twitter was loving the hashtag “#AirportPuppies.”
Ellie's owner Diane Van Atter gives her a hug after the delivery.
