Saroj Khan Demise: From Akshay Kumar to Remo D'Souza, celebs pay tribute to Bollywood’s mother of dance

71-year-old veteran choreographer Saroj Khan breathed her last on early Friday, July 3. Bollywood’s mother of dance died of cardiac arrest in Mumbai at 1:52 am. Her daughter Sukanya confirmed the devastating news of choreographer’s demise. I was on 20th June Saroj was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital, Bandra after complaining of breathlessness. She had tested negative of COVID-19.

It was said that she is recovering under is going through dialysis and might soon get discharged, however, now we receive such awful news. As soon as this news broke out Bollywood celebs and choreographers took to their social media handle to pay their last respect to Saroj.

Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter and wrote, Woke up to the sad news that legendary choreographer #SarojKhan Ji is no more. She made dance look easy almost like anybody can dance, a huge loss for the industry. May her soul rest in peace.”

 

Remo D’Souza also took to his Twitter handle and shared a heartwarming pic wherein he can be seen hugging Saroj. He wrote, “#RIP Saroji you will be missed..big loss to dance fraternity….”

Saroj added her charm to many popular and iconic songs of Bollywood by choreographing it such as Hawa Hawai, Ek Do Teen, Dhak Dhak, Dola Re Dola and the list goes on. Recently, after a span of long years, she choreographed Madhuri Dixit for song Tabaah Hogye from Kalank (2019).
