Not Virat Kohli but this player won the 2nd ODI match for India in Nagpur

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is arguably the best death bowler in the world right now. The 25-year-old proved it once again when he was asked by his captain Virat Kohli to bowl the 46th over in the second ODI match against Australia in Nagpur.

Bumrah was bowling in a crunch situation when team India was under pressure. Australia were 223-7 and needed 28 runs from 24 balls. Bumrah came in and took the wicket of Nathan Coulter-Nile on his second ball of the over. Bumrah bowled a fantastic Yorker to dismiss Coulter-Nile for four.

Then came Pat Cummins and it took Bumrah just two balls to dismiss him for a duck. Cummins was caught behind by MS Dhoni and was not given out initially. Dhoni immediately went for a review and it was confirmed by the third umpire that Cummins was out. Bumrah took two wickets and gave away just one run in the over.

In the 48th over, Bumrah was called in again to deliver his final one and he left no stone unturned to prove that he is the ultimate death over specialist. Marcus Stoinis was on strike and Bumrah bowled five back to back dot balls as Stoinis himself was not taking any chance to give away his wicket. In the last ball off the final over Stoinis nudged it to square leg to take a single. Thus Bumrah finished it with just one run off six balls.

Bumrah had the best economy among the Indian bowlers with 2.90. His final tally read 29 runs off 10 overs with 2 wickets.

India won the match by 8 runs with three balls to spare. Indian skipper Virat Kohli was awarded the Man of the match trophy for his 40th century and Jasprit Bumrah was given the Jana Bankable player of the match award. The host is now leading by 2-0 in the five-match ODI series. The third match will be played at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on March 8.
