High violence in the state of Gujarat has led the Indian Army to restore law and order situation there.

According to sources, the soldiers will hold flag marches for signalling they are on guard against the violence.

Reportedly nine people have been killed after Hardik Patel's campaign on 24 August. The members of the Patel community were demanding CM Anandiben Patel to collect the memorandum of their demands near collector's office.

Following the deaths of Patel community people, the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) members are now demanding registering murder cases against the police personnel.

Earlier in the day, curfew was imposed in some parts of the state for keeping a strict vigil on the protestors.

Following the violence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the people of Gujarat for maintaining peace in the state.
